    • Thank you!! 😀 If only I came up with it myself, though! 😉 Bill Bryson’s a genius, especially when it involves toilets.

AHA that’s hilarious and completely true.
Not sure if I’ve brought this up or not yet, but have you watched An Idiot Abroad? It’s on Canadian (and maybe American) Netflix and it’s about a modern-day English Homer Simpson who is sent around the world, courtesy of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, who try to really give poor Karl Pilkington the “authentic” experience of each of the countries home to the 7 Seven World Wonders in Season One.
Oh gosh, pure GOLD! I was bawling and suffocating from laughing so hard. 100% relevant to this quote.

    • I watched the first episode this morning! The one where he goes to China (omg, deep fried scorpions on a stick btw?! :/ ) and the look on that guy’s face the whole time XD. And goldfish in a hotel room, wtf? I didn’t know who Stephen Merchant was btw, until I saw his face and went like “Oooooh, he’s the guy from The Big Bang Theory!”

The first season is most definitely the best (Mexico, Brazil and India are also fantastic), second season was okay, but the third was just weird. The shock factor wore off.
I still don’t know who Stephen Merchant is either, but he’s hilarious with Ricky Gervais!
I thought the half-grown chicken eggs were the worst – YUCK!

Ooh ooh! If you do watch Season 2, Route 66 is my favourite episode from that season – priceless!
